For my other vehicle In order to get the light housing apart I would stick it in the oven for 10-15 min just to melt the silicon a bit which would help me pry the light apart

I think you're right, but you're going to have to hole saw behind the housing for the heat sink & fan. The CrownVic.net forum is doing a group buy for 9003 LED Headlight bulbs. $150.00. 30,000 hour + lifespan at 6000k color temp. In the mean time this is the way to go.

I was a doubter on these but I have to eat my words. I never expected this kit to be this nice for 200 bucks. I figured the final price would of been much higher.

The first ones that you ordered and opened easily, were they finished and shipped?

To that guy a few pages back that was complaining about the legality of HIDs. I was driving tonight with my GF in the rain. I was complaining about how slow the wipers were when on high. She said "maybe if you turn on your head light you could see better." They were on high beam. If you want to ***** about safety ***** about stock XJ light. They are the ones that should be illegal. They are the safety hazard.

Once I hear about some customer experiences from those who have already ordered it, this will probably be some of my first aftermarket for my Jeep.
