Glass >>> plastic. Duh! Lol. I challenge you to this. Next time you are driving in a semi-high traffic area, look at the car's headlights around you. I bet you'll see some nasty, cruddy, disgusting-looking yellowed lenses on some cars. Then ask yourself, do you want yours to look like that, down the road?

Mine are gonna be around double the price of his. I'm not sure what products he is using, but the parts alone for mine are around 375$ plus new headlight housings. If I'm gonna do this, I'd rather know that I'm using good products and I can customize this the way I want a little more than he can offer
What ballast and bulbs are you looking at? I have my eye on the Morimoto 3Five series.

Can't wait to see the final product. His could of been double the price if he would of used better electronic. I'm planing on replacing them anyway. I just did not want to attempt the retro fit nor do I need drl.

You are right in that, I'm not gonna disagree. But glass will decrease the quality of the light and it's a hell of a lot harder to work with. I now challenge you to find me any car with stock projectors and a glass lens. There is a reason they use plastic themselves. I'm not saying one is better than the other, I would just prefer plastic. Will make the retrofit easier to work with and you can clean plastic lenses or you can buy like a 3M product to prevent that.

I believe DS2 are for vehicles that originally had HIDs and AMP are for non HID vehicles. The retrofit source has everything pertaining to HIDs that you will ever need and it good quality stuff not cheap junk.

Look, I'm not here to debate which is better. I asked for help on locating some plastic lens housings and thats what I'd like. It's what I want. It's what I prefer. You can use glass on your truck.

Serenity-I am also a forum member of hidplant.com
Plastic is preferred for two reasons.
1. The plastic technology allows a more clear curt-off line for those doing proper projector HID conversions.
2. The only way you can take apart the glass housing is soaking it in gasoline to dissolve the glue. Yikes. I had a set, and tried to heat and pry them, glass breaks at the edge. I chucked them and bought the Pilots. Cooked them at 250 for a few minutes, came apart perfectly. I am retrofitting Maxima OEM projectors in my XJ Pilot housings. Almost done.
I wish glass was better for it, because they don't yellow. Just buy a good brand, use a UV resistant wax (a few coats) and you'll be fine...
