Help. Front diff clunking.

Help. Front diff clunking.
I finally tracked down my front end clunking and it comes from my diff when the drivshaft is turned back and forth. I replaced by ball joints about 2 weeks ago and pulled the shafts out to go it. It started pretty soon after that but i can't really say if they are related. Ideas? 96 lifted xj.
