Okay...
Has anyone here replaced one (or both) of their differential covers with a beefy aftermarket job? Which one? Where'd you get it? How much $$$ ?Likes/dislikes?
I have to replace the front seal, so I'm doing both (LubeLockers), when done will replace fluids with Royal Purple, and they're apart I decided to go ahead and upgrade to heavy-duty covers rather than do it later and have to spend more $ on fluids again. But... there are so many choices out there I am overwhelmed/confused.
Any advice/experience would be mucho appreciated!
TIA

Just my opinion but I will wait till I get about 5 1/2 in of lift and crawling on Rocks before I spend the money on a diff cover.

I have the solid and rockrusher covers on my jeep. No problems other than rockrusher takes months and months for delivery unless they have them in stock.
I think I got mine from dpgoffroad.com or northridge4x4.com. Can't remember. Both are really good companies to work with.

I don't have any until I change the rear and dump the D35, but then it will be RuffStuff on my junk. They are beefy and not cast like Solids are,and he is a vendor I trust.

Well since I'm not going to do any crazy off-roading anytime in the near future, maybe I'll just hold off. The stock covers look scuzzy though. Hmmm... Maybe I'll stick on a pair of those Kentrol S.S. covers. No thicker than the stock jobs, but at least they'll be less prone to rust and such... I don't know.

I actually like the idea here but the price for it is a lil high. Looks like a stock cover with some steel welded to it. Get some diff covers form the junk yard clean it up and weld some steel to it... Great idea though.
Rough stuff is the same price maybe 5 buck difference that is fabbed to be strong top and bottom. These also have higher fill points for increased pinion angle.
