Default Headliner Delete Ideas

Well after 2 summers of bringing up the rear on trail runs with the club and a week in Moab silt, Ive decided i need to do something about my headliner. It collects dust like grandmas dish apron and then it all falls out when we go over washboard roads, throwing us all into sneezing fits, and pisses off the dogs.

What has everyone done to either delete their headliner and retain the sound deadening, and still look decent, or what material have you re-glued to your headliner that is not so staticy and a dust magnet?

I have thought about just spray painting the carboard, but we all know what happens when cardbord gets wet.

I was thinking about rhino lining the roof, applying dynamat, and then installing painted veneer?

Please reply with pics if you have them!

The previous owner of my Cherokee removed the fabric, but left all of the backing. He then applied what he called "trunk liner" on the backing. So it gives it a textured, finished look and seems to be pretty durable. I don't have any pics at the moment, but I will try to post some when I get home.
