Default Sound in Radio Stops Working Intermittently

The sound COMING FROM from my radio THROUGH MY SPEAKERS stops working from time to time.

When this happens, I restart the vehicle a few times. Then it may work.

Ideas?

I never hear sounds in my radio. But I do hear sounds coming out of the speakers called music..

I express my greatest appreciation to you from your correction of my poor sentence structure and grammar.

Now I hope that someone with knowledge of the issue and its solution will reply to my thread because of my grammar edit.

Round of applause!

Please note that it is not a problem with the speakers. The speakers work just fine and when the sound cuts out, it cuts out entirely from all the speakers.

Check antenna connection and power/grounds connections to radio.

Hey Duma what do I do if I don't like what comes out of my radio?

,, sounds from the radio would suggest maybe something was rolling around on the inside of the radio causing Short circuit. I was kinda giving a little ribbing,,Look at my structure and grammar it sucks,,geeehs.. You have to be specific when talking about vehicle stuff.
Example.
Good:::
My radio stops working from time to time. I have found out when I turn off the Jeep and turn it back on a few times the problem goes away until the next time. Anyone have suggestions on where to start looking.
Bad:::
My radio no play no sound stops working what can I do.

As for your problem I would pull the radio and see if the plug is not making a good connection. It might of come loose over time and is not making a good connection with one or more pins in the back of the radio..
When the radio is out you will be able to see if any wires are broke/ or have come out of the plug..

Turning off the Jeep and restarting might be just enough to knock the connection back in place so the radio works..

Get off your butt and go take a look. If you cant or have no clue how to,,then its time to take it to someone who does.. Good luck

Well guess that takes care of that problem, I'm going to buy an older radio one from a 60's model.

This is starting to sound like a Twilight Zone episode.
