Are the highs actually on or is it just the high beam indicator that's on?

Do you have either daytime running lights or fogs?

However those lights are wired through a separate switch.

Okay so none of those factory circuits are present?

Time to pull out the multimeter and find were the powet is coming from. Measure for 12V at all the pins at the harness plug and factory socket. Either the switch is being stupid (coincidence) or something is backfeeding that circuit, like a short or busted relay or some kind of wiring mishap.

alright, I'll give that a try. So just measure for 12v at the headlight socket that he headlamp goes into? And anything else I should try if that doesn't work?

I don't understand what you mean by "doesn't work"? If you don't have 12V on ANY of the pins you're measuring that means your headlights aren't lighting up at all..

well my gauge cluster shows my high beams are always on even when I click the high/low beams on and off. But my headlights work. I just don't know what to do because my brights are stuck on

Now that I have more time I will be more specific. all my lights were working great before I installed my new lights. I installed just the lights with 60/55w bulbs on the stock harness because they are meant to be a "plug and play". The headlights were working and I checked to see if the brights were any better and once I turned the brights on they now seem to stay on. The hi beam indicator stays on on the dash when my headlights are on. I flip the switch and nothing happens to the lights and the indicator for brights stays on. Any suggestions?

Yeah it's possible. That's why I'm suggesting you actually TEST your lighting circuit lol

Do you know how to use a multimeter? A simple automotive test light would work in this case

yes, I have a multimeter and a test light, I was just testing things again and I have no blinkers at all front or rear.
