Default has anyone put bronco axles under a cherokee?

Does anyone know if possible to put bronco axles under an xj, i have a 92 bronco with 8in suspension lift that does nothing but sitt in the side yard because i simply cant get rid of it, and i have a new cherokee that i would like to lift, i was just curious if anyone had attemped this before and if so what they did to make everything fit and what needed to be fabricated/bought todo this, if someone has done this or somthing similar and could point me in the right direction im very mechanical and could do it with a little instruction form pictures or just previous experience. so please let me know thanks

nope, it's never been done.

at least not from an 82 bronco. unless you just want to stick the cherokee body on the bronco frame....

i guess that front TTB will work, google is your friend. there is just way too much work to go into detail in a thread.

The rear axle is either an 8.8 or 9" that are full width. You can do that with no problem. The front is where you are doing to have a problem. They are a ttb Dana 44 I think. So its not a straight axle. I dont see you getting that to work under and Xj but Im sure it can be done. Its much easier to find a Dana 44 front straight axle and build the jeep with that.

yeah i figured i would have to get a dana 44 straight to fir the front but i figured have coils all the way around would be pretty sweet. do you think the 4.0 would struggle pushin the 35in swampers?

No. Gears will help you I have 35s on my jeep with stock gears. Also those bronco springs will be super stiff on you little cherokee.

stiff being bad. Your jeep is much lighter so it will be a rough ride and maybe even more lift b/c you will not compress them as much. Maybe. I could be wrong.
