Default Hack and tap slip yoke and a ZJ driveshaft

If I use the hack and tap slip yoke and use my front driveshaft in the rear and grab a front driveshaft from a junket ZJ how well will that work? Gotta 99 xj Dana 30 front chrys 8.25 rear and the NP231 transfer case. Any opinions?

I installed my SYE today and tried to use a factory front shaft I got at the JY. I found out they had multiple sized shafts for the front looking at some charts. With 3.5" of lift the 28.6" shaft is maxes out. I need a 30.6" to give me room to add more lift. Heres the thread I made earlier. has some useful links.

How much lift? Why not use the ZJ shaft in the rear?

Not sure who your asking Kevin, but I read the stock XJ shaft worked but its short. I read up on it some more and it seems there are different lenghts available. I need about a 30.5" shaft either from an XJ or ZJ.

You would need quite a lift for that to work. Im at 3" and Im 34" yoke to yoke at rest.

The H&T itself is quite variable. It's up to you how much you cut off the output shaft.
