Question Guage cluster help. Temp guage not working properly

I swapped my guage cluster out for one with actual guages and cand cant seem to get the temp guage to work properly. Ive switched the sensors already and all it will do is peg all the way pass 260 and stay there. Im gnna try to burp the coolant system later on tpday to see it helps any. I know i have the correct sensor because i checked the part number. All the other guages work as should though. Ive also checked the connecter on tje back of cluster and seems fine. Any info is appreciated

Make sure the sensor you have is correct. Don't go by the parts number on the box, parts can be put in the wrong boxes.

I verified the part its correct, my gauge doesn't peg right away it takes about 5 min at idle to reach the red. but most the engine at that point is still touchable by hand.

this is the new sender I put in.

Could just be a bad part out of the box. Being that it acts as if its warming up, may be miscalibrated. Try the Standard one, I used their oil pressure sensor and it worked ok.

Or go to the dealer and see if you can get an OEM.
