Question Grinding from front end when braking?

I lifted my 98' Cherokee about a month ago with a RE 3.5" Super Ride kit (still stock tires), and ever since then I've had some pretty bad grinding noises coming from the front end when I brake. Its even worse when I brake in inclines, like when pulling out of my drive way. I'm not sure what to do at this point and I'm starting to worry. If anyone has any ideas on possible solutions please post! thanks guys.

Pull the front tires off and check the brakes, turn each rotor by hand while someone presses the brake down, then let off brake, repeat pressing up and down on brake listen for the grinding noise while you turn rotors.

I'll get on that after work. So if the noise happens when i spin the rotors and brakes are applied, what does that mean?

You have a brake pad issue? something to do with the brakes. Do the check that will tell you more.

Your slider pins may be gunked up, which causes the piston to stick and the pad to drag accross the rotor.

I would try greasing those if it is coming from the brakes (and if your pads/rotors are in good shape otherwise).

Check the frickin brake pads!! Easy as pie.

Poor eyesight and a dim flashlight and you can determine the brake pad condition.

A month? Phew.....

Brake pads are good, got a ways to go before they need to be replaced.

This is the noise. Sometimes its a little more drawn out when braking at stop signs, etc.

Edit: never mind, thought I could post a video.

I replaced my pads and rotors (cheap) and they made an awful grinding sound and lasted about 20K before I replaced them again and the noise went away. I figured it was something about the cheap pads I had on it.
