Default Green Diamond Tires

Hey guys just curious if you guys have ever heard/tried Green Diamond retreads? I have read amazing things about the M/T on other sites and have contacted him to ask if he offers 33 or 35s... just curious if you guys have tried them?

http://www.greendiamondtire.com/productswest2.html (The M/Ts are the ones I am interested in)

Thanks!

Why would you buy retreads for that price when you can buy brand new tires for the same?

You can get 285/75-16s from Tread Wright for $125ea, $199 for 265/70-16s is too much.

The Icelander A/T has the tread of a Dueler Revo... And I'm positive the picture is of an actual Revo as well.

Well they have really good reviews (from other vehicles.. havent found many jeep users) as far as Ice/Snow... better than most new tires. People are also getting 40,000 out of them. I haven't gotten that many miles out of a new set excluding the duratracs. I don't know how much he will charge for 35s" but If they are under 250$, they are still cheaper than 90% of them out there (excluding TreadWright). I have tried a couple different tires (SS LTBS, SS Thornbirds, SS TSLs, Kumho MTS, TreadWright Gaurd-Dogs, DuraTrac) and haven't found one that is good in mud while still being able to grip on slick surfaces (Ice) . These have good reviews in both.

Just curious if any of you have tried them. If he doesn't have any in 33 or 35, Ill probably give these a shot (The M/TS) . Just trying to find something that does well in both. My Kumho's tread will be gone soon.

Looks like almost all of them are on a waiting list or sold out. So if you do happen to get a set of four and damage one beyond repair on the trail, are you going to be able to get a replacement in a timely manner?

Jmo but MT tires in general are not a good choice for snow and ice at least on roads, you need something with tightish tread and lots of siping for packed down snow and ice.

Good point. I doubt it. Same with the TreadWrights though

Not just your opinion. Its true. But there is still a difference between the individual MTs. The treadwrights were not terrible on Ice where as the ThornBirds were like skates haha. I guess I should buy/save a used set and stud them for winter.
