im going ome for my dd cherokee also. idont understand how one of the best lift companies has such confusing products. they reall need to just come out and say, 2in, 3in, 4in. andif you have 100 pounds of front or rear cargo grab next size up. know what i mean? im really thinkin about doing the cowl intake also. where did you mount a filter? in the cow where it can get wet or in the pipe. i believe that how spectras is. in the pipe

ok jakecarder here isone of the write ups i used to build my intake and the reason i trusted his opinion on the filter stayin dry is the video he posted. this is also my dd ride but i like to have fun too lol good luck with your projects this was my first go at something like this and fortunately for me my brother is a mechanic with a shop at his house.

Default 2000 4wd 4.0 Classic with OME lift

In case any of you are interested, I installed this Lift from a previous total stock set-up

ALL OME
2930 coils
CS035RA Leafs
Nitrocharger (not the sports) N35 front and N36 rear shocks

I just measured from the ground to bottom of flare
LF - 33 1/2"
RF - 33 3/4"
LR - 35"
RR - 35 3/8"

Per the picture you would think I would have at least 3" difference between the F & R but I measure twice - it's only about 1.5" - all tires inflated to 31 psi - 3/4 tank of gas. This pic was after about 1500 miles of driving with about 100lbs of gear in the back.
SOO....my next step is this:
Since the CS035RA is a modular type leaf pack (5 leafs total including the overload) I am going to remove leaf #3 and that should drop me about 3/4". I am adding a 3/4" spacer to the front coils. I currently have ZERO death wobble and brand new Duratracs I hope adding the 3/4" to the front won't provoke anything. I'm mostly posting this as a heads up to those considering this kit - you will probably need to do these additional items as well to keep it looking like I'm slamming on the brakes all the time!! The ride has improved quite a bit in the last 500 miles or so and it rides real nice now. I'm hoping removing the leaf will only improve that factor. Oh and the tires are 245/75/16 on 4.5x5 Moabs - Love those tires, can't wait for snow,,,,

Set up a level string line front to rear then measure that id start the line where you measured the front flair at. I bet there's more then inch and half difference between bottom of the flairs

Ha - Thanks for the suggestion but I honestly can't think of a bigger waste of time...Might as well say my tape measure is broke. I agree it looks like more (I would have guessed 4") but it is what it is....

Can you say they were exactly the same from the factory? I've only owned my xj for a year so I don't know of they were or not.

If by 'they are the same' you mean your XJ and mine I believe the only difference in ride height would be Wheel size (15" or 16") and upcountry pacage which I thought added about an 1" in overall height front and rear. Neither of those things matter though since this topic is regarding installing a full OME supension kit (meaning coils and leafs) so your basically starting with a clean slate. Apologies CherokeeNut - I'm not trying to hijack your thread, I just wanted to show those following this thread what an XJ would sit/look like when ordering this combination of parts. Hopefully it will convince someone to at least order the additional spacers needed and modify the rear leafs (if they so choose) if a perfectly level truck is high on ones priority list

from everything i have read and also the measurements i have taken off of mine there is an inch difference at stock ride height i had 18 in back and 17 in front my ome 2.25" leafs gave me 2.5" lift and the rusty's 2" coils gave me exactly 2" of lift in the front have some death wobble issues that im researching how to fix right now and some vibes in my drive shaft from the lift angles getting ready to order some shims here soon i asked early on but no one answered but would a 2 degree shim be enough i mean i only went up 2.5 should just go to the shop i use, he does alignments and he has 2 lifted wrangler and one worker there i went to school with and he has lifted a couple cherokees himself so cant go to wrong there

Here's the latest. Nothing else done, another thousand miles added to help settle the rear. It's all in the angle of the pic. Looks good now but I'm still planning a 1 leaf removal from rear
