Good or Bad Fan Replacement Option . . ?

The stout OE steel fan may be a bit tweeked on my XJ. Are these new fangled sort of fans any better than OE?

I believe the bolt pattern on the replacement fans may be way too small.

Thanks for the heads up. Just seems that steel OE fan is a lot of rotating mass. AMC engineering! Love or hate it, I guess.

AMC? Geez, they didn't invent it. Been used for years by tons of other car companies worldwide.

Yeah, I know. But I was taking a swipe at the heft of it. Seems the steel is twice as thick and heavy as most belt driven fans. I mean, if the radiator wasn't in the way you could cut the brush out of the way with it.
