Exclamation GForce Performance chip instalation

Ok, so recently I bought a GForce Performance chip to boost my '96 XJ's fuel efficiency and power. To install this chip you have to wire it into your Jeep's IAT/MAF sensor. Mine is a three wire and it was easy to find but which two of the three wires do I wire my chip into? There are a brown/white wire, a green/red wire, and a black wire I would assume the IAT is composed of the brown/white and green/red wires, but I have no way to trace it back to figure it out. Can someone please help me by answering this question? This Jeep is my daily driver and at four dollars a gallon my wallet is aching over the cost of trying to keep gas in the tank.

well the black is probably the ground. the other wires i have no idea. but if you're looking for efficiency. there are a lot of ways that better and more proven than chips on these engines.

You do realize that all you're doing is wasting electrical tape and money, right?

If you do then I'll continue to explain.

Please do not use that chip on your jeep its going to do nothing or maybe even hurt your jeep. Its a unknown company i would not trust there stuff there website looks real simple made that's a big red flag right there.Only way to make a jeep better on fuel is sell it its a box on wheels and a 4x4,I mean hell my brothers 01 f140 4x4 stock gets 14mpg and it weighs double what a xj does.

I'm not sure you're completely right about this company. Just because a website is simple doesn't mean the company makes bad computer chips. And I already bought the product after much debate. The science is there to back it up and they customize each chip for your specific vehicle's engine. Their customer service was great about keeping me informed on what stage of development, processing, and shipping my order was at any time of day, any day of the week.

It also wouldn't be spliced into MAF sensor.

It's only a resistor that fools your engine.

HUGE waste of time and money.

A real chip will plug right in no wiring at all,You can believe all the bs the website will promise you but in the end its just bs to get you to buy it.With it wired to the maf just sounds like its gonna run the engine lean which will kill it over time.If it even does work at all you might see 5mpg but have a blown engine in 6 months to a year.

Just put a turbo in it with 11lbs of boost. Don't bother with an intercooler cuz it'll just take up space. That'll beef up your xj!!!!

Lets take it easy on him, it is his second post.

If you want to improve mileage keep it simple.

1. Reduce Rolling Resistance, keep tires inflated correctly
2. Consider a Street tire over a Mud Terrain or All Terrain
3. Don't lift it
4. Consider Synthetic Fluids
5. Tune Up, Air Filter....

If your looking for more power consider:

1. a True CAI (Specter has a kit at quadratec for 150, if your short on cash)
2. a Cat Back Exhaust (Iron Rock Offroad have reasonable one again around 150)
3. Do Items 4 and 5 above
