This one was funny!
I BOUGHT A NEW G-FORCE CHIP FOR MY NEW JEEP SAHARA UNLIMITED (2012) IN MARCH 2012. WOW. IT TOOK MY MILEAGE UP ABOUT 5 MPG, AND THE ENGINE PRODUCES MORE POWER ON HILLS. WE ALSO HAD A SPRING SECOND DELIVERY FRON SANTA CLAUSE, AND JENNIFER LOPEZ CALLED AND ASKED ME FOR A WEEKEND AWAY WITH HER. ALSO, OBAMA IS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT OF HAITI, AFTER HE FINISHES HIS SECOND TERM. SO IF YOU BELIEVE THE CHIP STORY, I GUESS YOU BUY THE OGTHER STUFF TOO EH? LOOKIT, TODAY COMPUTERS RUN ENGINES. CHRYSLER ARE SPENDING 2 BILLION DOLLARS ON THE NEW PENASTGAR ENGINE PLANT. NEXT YEAR THEY ARE GOING TO TURBO THIS EXCELLENT ENGINE. MY NEW SAHARA WEIGHS A FEW TONS...IT HAS A FRAME...IT IS FOUR WHEEL DRIVE...AND HAS THOSE JEEP AERODYNAMICS OF A PUMPKIN. SO I AM HAPPY WITH THE 27.5 MILES PER GALLON I GET OVERALL PER CANADIAN GALLON OF GAS, WHICH IS 20% BIGGER THAN A USA GALLON. DON'T COMPROMISE THE INTEGRITY OR VALIDITY OF YOUR WARRANTY OR THE HEALTH OF YHOUR ENGINE, WITH THIE $69 WONDER G-STRING THING. TRUST ME. AFTER SIX OTHER JEEPS...CJ5 CJ7 YJ SAHARA. YJ SPORT YJ ISLANDER TJ SPORT AND NOT THE FOUR DOOR VERSION...JUST BE THANKFUL FOR THE PENTASTAR. SAVE YOUR $69 BUCKS, OR SPEND IT ON RUST PROTECTION.

All any "chip" that doesnt connect to the computer does is fool the engine into thinking there is less air goin in so you use less fuel. You run leaner which increases power and MPG but your ECU doent know whats goin on in the engine and thats bad!
I'm not sure you're completely right about this company. Just because a website is simple doesn't mean the company makes bad computer chips. And I already bought the product after much debate. The science is there to back it up and they customize each chip for your specific vehicle's engine. Their customer service was great about keeping me informed on what stage of development, processing, and shipping my order was at any time of day, any day of the week.
They did not "customize" each "chip" for each specific vehicle. If you look on there they have these "chips" for EVERY single vehicle. If they really did that much R&D (or any at all), your resistor would cost you well over $1000 in order for them to recoup the cost.
Just trying to help you out man. If you want to run it, it's your money. Put an extra 2lbs in your tires and it would be more beneficial to fuel mileage than that thing.

They have a 'Chip' for a 1967 VW Beetle! It's carbed!
At any rate, I PMed him to see if he had recEIved his chip but apparently I hit a nerve by calling it a G-String Chip.
I did indeed receive my "GForce" chip a few months ago... before posting actually; learned how to install it and have seen and proved a gain of nearly 7 mpg (miles per gallon), 6.578 mpg to be exact, an increase of 57.9 bhp (brake horse power), and 27% (percent) lower emissions. It's already paid for itself in the gallons of gas it has saved me so I would appreciate it if you would take you bad attitude and crude comments and go drive your jeep off a cliff. But since you won't do this at least by reading this response, assuming you can understand it, you've learned how to spell the word "Received." Remember "i" after "e" except after "c;" that's grade school stuff. Now if you kindly go be a douche bag elsewhere it'd be nice, because I'm busy and don't need people like you cluttering up my inbox.
After I recovered from my hysterical (correct my spelling for me) fit of buffalo tears... I figured since he hadn't posted his revIEw I would post it for him. He doesn't seem interested in updating his thread. I'm glad that he saw major improvments. 6.578mpg improvement is AWESOME! I wish I had 57.98274 more HP. I just ordered a chip.
What I find entertaining is the fact that he had to correct me on my spelling but couldn't get the title of his thread right. Then proceeded to make the same mistake I did in his first post...
That is all.

My 2 cents and a half
Well, all electronic/electrical performance adding products fool the PCM into thinking its not exactly like factory. Make it run richer for more power and cooler and make it run leaner for more MPG. Computers are stupid, they only do what they are told.
without a wide band O2 sensor, I wouldn't try anything that just simulates a different input to the PCM without monitoring anything else. It may work great but not all engines are created equal, Running a little to lean and the life of the engine is greatly reduced. Running to rich well, you just waste fuel.
Power and efficiency is about optimal tuning for the in/out flow of the engine.
the power vs economy selectable modules are just making it leaner or richer burn depending of selection, hopefully staying within safe parameters.
Im sure they are very good tuners out there. but if it only create a different I/P to the computer without monitoring anything else... RUN

Modern ecu's (ODB II) are not stupid at all. They make changes to the fuel flow depending on what the O2 sensor on the exhaust tells them. It looks to maintain the engines optimum running condition according to set parameters. This is called a closed loop system. Changing the way a MAP/MAF sensor measures air flow won't help. The ecu will compensate for it after a couple of drive cycles. This may actually work on older efi, like pre-1996 (ODB I and older) systems that only work in an open loop condition. Changing the O2 sensor first would probably work the best.

A little reading goes a long way: Heres's an abstract from the factory manual for 1997-2000
CRUISE MODE
When the engine is at operating temperature, this
is a Closed Loop mode. At cruising speed, the powertrain
control module (PCM) receives inputs from:
† Air conditioning select signal (if equipped)
† Air conditioning request signal (if equipped)
† Battery voltage
† Engine coolant temperature sensor
† Crankshaft position sensor
† Intake manifold air temperature sensor
† Manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor
† Throttle position sensor (TPS)
† Camshaft position sensor signal (in the distributor)
† Park/neutral switch (gear indicator signal—auto.
trans. only)
† Oxygen (O2S) sensors
With all that said, Varying the MAP sensor WILL affect close loop and can simulate a heavier load therefore giving more fuel.. I could go on....
Sorry, uneducated answers on a forum like this are a pet peeve of mine..... And how the hell is changing the O2 sensor going to change anything? unless the one being replaced is not working or replacing it with a programmable wide band sensor. ..Want extra fuel injected, vary the MAP input...
