Fuel supply options for 4L stroker
Hi all. Just joined. Have a 4.0L stroked and bored to about 4.7L. Truckpower cam, oversize valves (from a Chev V8 from memory), ported, extractors and 2.5" exhaust. Gives about 270Ft/lb at 2000rpm and 200HP at 3600rpm. These numbers are from memory, please don't quote me on them. The car has not run for years, since it blew a diff (thanks Dana35C, you're a pathetic little *****!) but I really want to get it back on the road. My real issue was with the fuel injection system/ECU. It gave me nothing but problems and if I was to put the car back on the road/trail I would have to fix it. The only two options I would consider (after spending way too much time and money trying to sort the existing system) is to either replace the whole injection system with an aftermarket one or just fit a carb. A 2" SU carb would lose me about 6HP, and it would be SO simple! Might even consider putting a blower on it...
More than happy to completely rewire the car if needed. That would include replacing all the gauges, etc.
Anyway, my questions are these...
1. What systems are available that would totally replace the original fuel injection and ECU?
2. What is the tie in with the transmission and chassis systems like and how easy is it to seperate them?
Thank you, learned Jeepsters. I look forward to hearing of your personal experiences with this.

I use 2 rocker switches for shifting, no tcu is needed. Can be wired to use the tcu, but I prefer to pick my gear. Toggle switch to lock converter. This works. Ric
