Default Fuel Injector problems

1991 XJ Briarwood 4.0 AW4 63MM TB 136a Alternator everything else is stock engine wise

So I upgraded yesterday to new fuel injectors and dropped in an upstream O2 sensor (which im getting a small exhaust leak out of now for some reason...) and my jeep is running like garbage. Idle is irratic and if I step on it while driving it sputters before picking up and going.

I went off this chart when upgrading but ran into a few issues.

First off I used the Volvo injectors since they had the clips. No big deal with that. They plugged right in. I ran into an issue when it came to the fuel pressure regulator. It didnt fit quite right. I had to use some pressure to get the retaining plate (whatever its called) to fit over it so I could screw it in to secure it. So far I havent seen or heard any leaks or backfiring but its just not getting something it needs. Going to soak my stock injectors in seafoam when I get home and try to re install them. Going to rent a fuel pressure tester today too. I'm thinking it has something to do with the fuel pressure regulator though. Anyone have any other suggestions please let me know. Kind of annoyed this is supposed to be this awesome upgrade and so far its worse than my stockers.

Sure did. Didnt feel like it fit right when i put it in. Had to take some vice grips to push it in enough to bolt it down. I used the part number on the list I posted.

Pinched o rings ? You used higher pressure regulator on Volvo injectors ? Im running the Volvos with stock regulator no issues.

Ill try swapping in the old regulator when I get home before I run around the island spending money on crap I don't need. I think I still have some O rings laying around.

Maybe 746 Volvos don't operate correctly with extra pressure ...

Well bad news for me. When I put that regulator on it bent the fuel rail. So now the old fuel rail isnt sealing and leaking gas all over the place. FML
