The bolt inserted in the bracket passes up through the hole where the oem shock stud went. From the top in the engine bay you put the flat washer, lock washer, and nut in that order on the bolt. Don't tighten it. The bracket is offset to push the shock away from the frame. Rotate the bracket for access to the shock mounting bolt and nut. Install the front shock into the bracket. Then install front shock into the lower shock mount with factory hardware. Tighten ALL fasteners last.

So two washers sandwich the mounting hole?
What keeps this from moving around in this area where bushings usually fill this space?
Sorry odd I know, it's why I was looking for install type pictures.

NO, the stud goes thru the hole in the fender, then the flat washer, then the lock washer, then the nut...tighten snug.
Once you have the shock in and oriented how you want, then you can torque them.
Here............

I was reading you guys right but that's not what I was expecting.
Do these tend to wander around at all?
Thank you for your patience I know this is a simple thing, but I'm trying to find a solution that does not allow shocks to move within that eyelet.
No problem. We wouldn't be here if we didn't enjoy doing (or is it need to do?) this stuff.
I understand your concern. If you have the brackets how do the diameter of the bolts on them compare to the holes for the shock stud bushings?
