Front drive shaft TC crossmember clearance question dilemma help me out pls
I got a lift setup with a sye kit and new cv shaft, they installed a tc drop even though I have a sye setup with a new cv drive shaft. At first I was kinda pissed thought whole reason i got the sye was to prevent the need for tc drop but i kinda understand why they thought it was needed.
4 wheel parts said it was because of front drive shaft clearance at fool droop would rub/hit on the tc cross member which looks very possible, all i want to know is can i take the damn tc spacers out without out hitting. What can you guys make of this could it be because my xj is a 2000 with a Lp d30 ?
What I hope the pictures will help me figure out.
-To remove the tc drop completely without adding anything else to help clearance tc cross member clearance.
Or solution #2
-Removing the tc drop and adding a rear shim for the rear pinion angle if needed

If it was going to hit it would with or without the spacers. You dropped the case and the drive shaft and actually put your front shaft at more of an angle than without the spacers. If you got a SYE get rid of the spacers and enjoy the extra ground clearance.

Having the t/c drop for driveshaft clearance makes no sense, the crossmember goes with the trans mount. I can see that there may be a clearance issue with the front if the front is hanging on a lift.
I do see a big problem. The rear driveshaft is too long. At rest the slip is fully collapsed and if you hit a big enough dip/bump the driveshaft will take out the t-case, trans depending on how hard it hits.

Get rid of the tcase drop! I ran stock crossmember on short arms at 5.25 inches of lift on my 2000 with low pinion no problem. As stated, your biggest problem is your rear driveshaft being too long
Some shims wouldn't hurt though-it appears you have a little too much pinion angle. Hard to tell on the pics. You want 0* pinion angle with a double cardan joint if I'm not mistaken. If you have any vibes I would start there

Yeah i saw my shaft that 4 wheel installed i was like this looks like a future issue cause its to long..... idk what to do.
Got an idea take out the tc drop and maybe ill have more slip room...but will i lose the slip room gained room by adding shims?

Go back to 4wheelparts and demand they remove the spacers and sort out your rear drive line, it blows me away how little those guys know about vehicles in general let alone offroading

FYI the tc drop was not in my original order they put them on thinking that it was necessary.

i would go right back to 4wheel parts. if you bought the parts there and paid them to install the parts they should at least give you the right length driveshaft. you should at least have a couple of inches in slip to make up for the suspension cycling, in the pictures you put up it looks like it has zero slip which like somebody said can be really bad. i'm no technician but i know enough to realize leaving a tcase drop installed with a SYE to give the front shaft better clearance is just retarded. they really let these people work on vehicles other people drive?
