Get it fixed soon too. One good bump and you could KO your t-case.

Think they would fight paying for a new t-case and trans if it did bottom hard?

You'll be lucky to get 1/4" taking out the drop. They need to either shorten or replace your drive shaft. Somebody didn't measure right and figured you wouldn't know the difference.

From what I have read you want 0* pinion angle meaning your driveshaft lines up with the axle pinion as close as possible. Since the double cardan "cv" joint cancels itself out as far as forces and vibes, you want the axle side u joint doing as little as possible hence the zero degree pinion angle. From your pic I would say it needs shimmed..... Not saying you'll have vibes if you don't do it but in theory it would be best anyway.

Shimming will make your driveshaft problem worse, but as others have said, they had better get you the right shaft!

YOur rear driveshaft will bottom out. YOu are dealing with people who either dont know what they are doing or simply dont want to admit they are wrong. You have to get it shortened. You have to get rid of the tcase drop as the main reason of installing an sye is not to have the tcase drop. Your driveshafts will not hit anything without it. I know, I am aactually running no sye and no tcase drop at 4.25 in. Everything is ok as far as clearence. Also that is a double cardan driveshaft on the rear and from everything that I read in that case your pinion should be almost exactly in straight line with your driveshaft. Which means you need shims in the 4degree kind. What you have now is a right pinion angle for running a driveshaft with no double cardan joint.

Even if they take out the the drop, that shaft is way to long and it looks like they measured for the shaft when it was up on the lift.....they should remove the shaft & the drop, put it back on the ground and re-measure to get the correct shaft size....The pinion angle does need to be adjusted...for the lift you have,I would put in a 4*(degree) shims to correct that angle....as stated before , that pinion angle should be as close to zero as possible..

Good to hear they are willing to sort it out so you wouldn't end up saying "I told you so"

Default In the end this is where i ended up

Not only did they fix my driveshaft they took out the tc drop, and installed my new poly urethane trans mount which stop my grinding noises on acceleration.

FYI i couldn't tell if it was bad when the old one was installed no matter how hard I pushed or pulled but they said it ripped in two when they removed it. Rollin like a champ accept the CEL came on saying i need a new cat fml.
