Frame cracked at steering box.
So my previous "fix" to my cracked frame finally gave up. I would like some guidance on how to properly fix this.
I have everything to put a steering box brace(sector shaft bearing, sway bar drop brackets, etc) however not sure how to fix the cracked frame. Aftermarket frame stiffners are out of question as I live outside the US and here it's impossible to get them unless I build my own.
Here is a link to a video for your reference.

You need to cut off the brace you made and start over. Cut a plate that you can weld that will reach well past where the crack is, preferably to the area of where the track bar mount is. Fish plate the end, make the end diamond shaped if you aren' fmailiar with the term. Do the same with the top and bottom and inside as well

You can also you at maybe use a bumper reinforcement plate or a frame stiffener kit . and the use something like this .

I would be inclined to drill out the steering holes just enough to accept some tube stock, and slip that inside the frame, sandwiched between a steel plate on the outer & inner side, steering bolts go through the tube. I believe at least one of the "proper" kits is built like that.
Once the frame steel is broken, I personally cant see how it could be made structurally sound (enough for my liking) just by welding plate, as it will still flex, which is what causes the original problem
my steering bolts snapped off flush with the steering box, not a good thing
