Outside Frame Scout Steering Box?

Outside Frame Scout Steering Box?
Wondering if anyone has seen/done an scout steering box mounted "outside" the frame on an XJ? I'm in the planning stages of my LSx swap and it would be wonderful to open up the full area between the frame rails for a BIG radiator. Full hydro isn't an option as my vehicle is a daily driver.
