Default ford 8.8 conversion question

so i have been wanting to swap out my d35 for either a chrysler 8.25 or a ford 8.8, but i cant seem to find a 8.25 for a decent price, so i think im going to do the 8.8 swap, but i have some questions, i know what all is needed to do it but is it worth it or should i just wait until i can find an 8.25?

The 8.8 is much stronger than the 8.25. I have heard that it is stronger than the d44 for the XJ too but don't know personally.

All depends on what you want to do with your jeep and how much time you want to spend on the axle swap.

I think the 8.8 you can find cheaper than the 8.25 because they are so easy to find too.

You also would get disk brakes with the 8.8 where you wouldn't with the 8.25.

IMO if you are going to swap and know what you are doing or have someone who knows what they are doing then I would go with the 8.8. But that is just IMO.

8.8 is well worth it, MUCH stronger than the 8.25

cut off all the old brackets on the axle, and weld these on in the correct places

here is everything you would need for the swap
shock mounts
