Why swap a 6cyl for another 6cyl.
Ford 4.9L HP 150 @ 3400rpm TQ 260 @ 2000
Jeep 4.0L HP 190 @ 4600 rpm TQ 225@ 3000
The swap would not be worth the time
Now if you were going to swap an engine go with a 5.3L or another GM LS based engine
Ford 4.9L HP 150 @ 3400rpm TQ 260 @ 2000

To be honest i wouldnt wear a bowtie to my own wedding haha sorry just a ford guy that loves his xj plus i woukd bore, cam, deck the head all the goodies befor plus a 2 or 4 barrel carb makes a world of difference on a 300 the stats you posted are stock single barrel if not efi which killed the power. If i were to v8 it i would 302/347Stroker but iam a broke kid 300 are cheap and easy to build
