I was thinking about getting the FM delta Flow 50 with a 2.5 mandrel bent exhaust on my 2001 Jeep XJ and was wondering if any of you have had it or know how loud it is. I've tried to get a sense of its sound by videos on YouTube but it seems like all of the videos sound different. I don't want it to be wake up my neighbors loud and I don't want droning in the car. But I do want it to be a little louder than stock. Let me know if you have any comments at all. thanks

When I first installed my Flowmaster 50 I felt as if it was not as loud as I wanted it to be. Now that its been a few years it seems much louder. I'd probably go Walker QuietfFlow if I were to do it again.

Couple vids.
you can't really tell what it sounds like
This is 2.5" round 14" magnaflow straight through muffler. Its noticably louder than my Flowmaster with 3 also is higher pitched with some ricer cackle

theres not much I like about this sound. Not sure if the 2.5 pipe is making it louder or the no baffle straight through muffler. Good thing this jeeps not mine.

I appreciated the change in tone going with 2.5" rather than 2.25". It does create a lower frequency exhaust note. I definitely noticed a decrease in low-end torque when I installed my system (2.5" from header back, cowl intake, 62 mm throttle body). The larger diameter tube slows the exhaust velocity and negatively impacts scavenging affects at lower RPM. I noticed the difference while climbing hills on the highway. Has a more difficult time holding speed in OD than it did before the exhaust.

I havent noticed anything performance why's from going from factory exhaust to 3"
My friend that I did the 2.5" exhaust for swears it runs better nd gets better fuel mileage. maybe?
