No real benefit to do this, besides, most shocks are not designed to work upside down.

it depends on the shock, most are not duel valved and won't work upside down, some like the doetch techs and some rancho's work better upside down. but those are the cheaper ones. fox, king, sway away and bilsteins are designed to be upside down, there are a lot of benefits to this one being the shock body is up and out of the way from rocks. plus the shock handles the high speed stuff alot better if its fighting the up and not the down.

twin tube shocks need to be ran body down. monotubes can be ran either way, but like already said, work better body up.

the rough country shocks that came with my la kit came made to mount body up with the stud type attachment so im sure you could just buy from them but ive heard that under extreme flex with the body mounted at the top it will hit the unibody rail

kinda insignificant compared to the axles and tires but it would be less unsprung weight, and weight that get tossed around fast when bumps are hit.

No shocks to my knowledge have stud type top attachment on the body so you would need to get an adaptor to run they eye style bushing up top (i think jks sells one) then just buy appropriately long shocks with an eye attachment on both ends that are designed/allowed to be run upside down

Not gonna lie, you lost me. I believe that conversoin kit is moreless meant for fitting a broader range of shocks, not reverse mounting.

both my fox emulsions w/res and walker evans duel bypass with res mounted with a stud on the body. there are actually a lot of shocks out there with the stud on the body.

Unless your shocks are specifically designed to be mounted upside down or designed to be mounted in either direction, please follow the rule stated above for dual shocks. As a rule, dual tube shocks should never be mounted upside down. Some people say that monotube or gas pressurize shocks can be mounted upside down, however in time they will develop and extra inch or more of piston travel that has little to no dampening effect whatsoever. Ultimately: don’t mount shocks upside down just because it looks cool. Sometimes a shock must be mounted upside down due to space limitations, or to protect the shock body, if this is the case, make sure you use a shock designed to be mounted upside down.
