Flexiest Leaf Pack?
Just wondering who you all think makes the softest flexiest XJ leaf springs?
Looking to re-do the back end of the Cherokee since my current bastard pack is starting to sag and is a bit on the stiff side.
Thinking this time I am going to buy pre-made packs in the 3" variety and use my current 1.5" lift shackle or am I going to get a flexier pack with 4.5" and stock shackle? Will also be running shackle re-locators so shackle angle will be what it should be no matter the pack.

I run a bastard stack, used the whole 87 2wd leaf stack, netted about 4 inches. Rides awsome. I just used the stock xj main leaf and cut 2 inches off the s10 main. You probly know that, but I used 2 other leaf stacks and they rode like ***. This one ride great. Lift springs are expensive and from my experience suck just as bad as the bastard stack. Just my opinion though.

I had the rough country on my old jeep and compared to a buddy with rustys it's night and day. Rough country you get what you pay for....*****. Haha IMO rough country isn't a good lift to go with and I'll post a pic of why tomorrow.

x2 on deavers.
or IRO. I run the Rough Country and they flex really great! but without a shackle relocation bracket you are going to be limited by the shackle.
I have zero issues with them now that I have the bracket

I have RE full packs, & after beating the Hell outta them they flex nicely! A buddy of mine runs RC full packs & they are solid as a tank, but he also hasn't beat on the nearly as much... I would agree its more in the shackle than anything else, but don't expect any new full leaf pack to have great flex for the first year, unless you are playing HARD every weekend!

Deaver:
I was just looking into the Deaver springs, and all I can say is WOW for the price they better be the best leaf springs on earth! I do see the idea behind a ton of thin leaves over a few thick ones but they are almost twice the price!
RE:
I hope that RE keeps making a quality product with them being bought out by Transamerica. (They have ruined many good company's with dropping quality in my opinion.)
IRO:
Does anyone know who the actual manufacturer of the IRO springs are? I have had a million people tell me RC but I know that is not right due to the differences that 96_XJ pointed out.

Right now I run Rusty's 4.5" w a stock shackle. It's too stiff to be considered "flexy." T&T claims more flex w a flatter leaf pack by using their U-Bolt Eliminators. I havent tried them yet tho.

I don't really see the point of doing a 4-link on a LCOG setup. That and I refuse to weld anything to the "frame" as my rigs get so beat to hell that I swap everything over every few years.
Unless you know of someone that offers a bolt on kit? I would be open to that, I just hate to try and remove welded on sub frames. (My fabrication skills are pretty much Nil, I can weld not a problem but I lack in the design department.)
