Default fiberglass help

instead of buying a new header panel for my jeep i was going to try to fix mine.....does anyone have any helpfull tips they could spare when working with fiberglass?? I have never really gotten into alot of body work but figured I would give it a try ...... any and all help would be appericated

this is where the damage is passanger side near the side marker

it aint too bad. just cut out the damaged section, use carboard to fill the opening. and then fiberglass it. then you can use body filler to get it all smooth (after sanding).

I fixed my rear fender on my chevy dually. Turned out good. Never got to paint before I traded it in.

just use gloves, it itches lol

First remove the headlight bezels and side marker light and inspect the damage. Has the fiberglass broken completely through? If not, you may get by with a few coats of bondo. If it's broken through repairs may be more complicated, but definitely doable. Take your time and have fun.

Already had the header panel off when I put new fender on its cracked all the way through that's why I was going to use fiberglass on both sides and some filler to smooth
