Thats a pretty simple way to do it. So pretty much just grounding that wire when the switch is in the on position turns the fan on.

 

Question, why would the cel turn on??

 

Because the PCM didn't turn it on. Anything that happens and the PCM/ECU didn't trigger it, is usually enough to trip the CEL.

 

Not to sound too dumb, but will that happen Everytime I use it? Light popped on once, then went away after a couple starts. I don't care about the light if that's all it is, smog exempt so I don't have that worry.
