Default Fan switch mod

I know this has been covered 10000x but I wanna wire a switch to run my EFAN on command, then when it's switched off, it runs like stock. Whats the easiest way to do this? Will have I have to have my key on the ACC position? What all do I need to buy?

Unless its fubar, mine didn't come when putting the AC on so I wired it into a manual switch, it really helps with cooling!!

tap into the wires going to the temperature sender that triggers the fan. depending on the year of your XJ, its either in the radiator or on the thermostat housing. mines a Renix so it was in the radiator, all i did was run one of each of the wires to a switch on the dash. turning it on basically bypasses the temperature switch and turns on the fan relay. turning it off puts it back through the factory sender

Wow wish I had thought of that. I spliced the power to the fan and used 2 relays and a spdt switch which works, But was way more complicated.

just tap into the blue wire with pink stripe going in the pcm(don't cut wire), just remove some of the sheathing and solder in a new piece of wire. Then run that wire into the interior to your desired switch location and wire to one side of your switch and ground the other side of the switch to a good ground location in the interior. That's it, I did it on mine and it works perfectly.

Does anyone have a write-up for wiring the fan to always run as long as the key is on? I don't want to have to think about turning it on, I just want it on.

Just wire it to the switch and leave the switch on. Simple.

Should use a diode so that the current flows one way and will still work with the AC (if you have it) and the temp sensor, but if the fan is on it shouldn't come on... but still
