Default exhuast mod ???

if i get a high flow exhaust will the stock cat be sufficient or can i get a bigger cat. i have a 96 cherokee with 4.0 but i wanna stroke it to 4.7

Haha, you said you wanna stroke it lol, i have a flowmaster with the stock cat, there was i small, but noticable difference, but i dont really know if your gonna stroke it to 4.7

yeah im getting a stroker kit it takes it to 4.6-4.7 it comes with crank cam pistons rings connecting rods and the bottom end bearing kit

I recommend reading up on jeepstrokers.com to see what works. I think most run 2.5" exhaust with strokers but its been awhile since i researched that.

I have a 2.5" cat back with Flowmaster super 44 and a stock cat. Works great. Sounds great.

A high flow cat doesn't cost much. You may as well put one on if you're doing a catback. Hit up the user mudfrog. He'll hook you up cheap

Lucky for him he lives in PA. Unlucky for us we live in SoCal and Hiflow cats that was smog and carb legal will cost you a kidney and a first born.

In any US state, removing a properly functioning smog/emission component is against the law. What you decide to do is your choice, performance-curve.com has a universal cat with or without O2 bung for about 40$.
