Dropped my xj off at a local shop today and had them install a pair of kc lights they ordered up for me. Picked it after they closed so ill stop back in tomorrow to talk to them but my jeep has a few issues now it didn't have this morning.
1st: stock temp gauge is non functional (no reading).
2nd: gas gauge is bouncing between e and "full". It used to do this occasionally (maybe once a day) but did it prob 20-30 times on my way home tonight.
3rd: back light for rear defroster switch is now not illuminated.
4th: stopped on the way home and turned off the motor and lights then restarted to see if it made any difference. Would not start without pumping the gas. (Never done this before) then when it started, temp gauge rose up to 200 then dropped back down to no reading.
My only thought is that a ground got disturbed somewhere behind the dash but I have no idea where to look.
Thanks
Craig

Update.
Weather has dried out and almost all the issues have gone away. Is there fuses, ground, or relays that are effected by moisture?

I have had my horn relay get stuck in my 01 besauce of water. After a long rain storm aabout 4 years ago. That relay is mounted on the passsanger side kick panel. I an not sure what else is over there. But I just let everything dry out for a few days and it has not happened agian. Hope that helps a little.
