Default Durango Box and Pitman Arm?

So I just bought a Durango box since my steering box was sloppy, and one of the three bolts is currently broken. I got a TJ pitman arm from a friend, but clearly it has less drop, and I have an IRO Double Shear trackbar so this is just asking for bumpsteer.

The question is, I know that a ZJ pitman arm = 1" drop on an XJ. Will the ZJ pitman arm work on the Durango box?

The TJ pitman arm seemed to fit fine when I test-fitted it, so I am guessing it will work? I want to know so I can go to the JY and get the ZJ pitman and not deal with fighting with my current one.

Yea the ZJ pitman arm will work. Look at it this way. The zj pitman arm fits on our stock steering box. Our xj pitmans arm fits on the durango steering box. Therefor the zj pitman arm will fit on the durango box.

Are you planning on a lift over 6"? If no, just use the XJ arm, you don't need the others. In fact the longer arm may actually cause bump steer on shorter lifts.

Really? I got 4" with the RE lift, and I have an IRO trackbar that brings the trackbar down .75", so the XJ pitman would be better?

Look at your drag link and Trackbar, are they parallel or nearly so? If so your good. If not you will need to change the pitman arm to longer or shorter to adjust it. Thing is the angle doesn't change enough to need the new pit arm till you get into the 6"+ range, and even then going to a OTK set-up would be better as the longer Pit arm puts extra strain on the steering box, due to the extra leverage.

I ordered a stock pitman arm from Quadratec and it shipped today so I should have this done on the weekend and also be able to mount my Nates 4x4 Winch bumper finally. Also finish painting it since it has been in primer for a month +.
