Default Drive line question

97 xj country, auto, 3.5" lift 31"tires. Will be lifting to 6" by end of summer. I have the Chrysler 8.25 rear end. I have herd you can use a stock d35 Drive line in place of a sye. Is this true, almost sounds to easy. So i thought i would CF world what you all think.
Thank you in advance

Absolutely not. A 6" lift will require an SYE regardless of what rear differential you're using. I would never ever swap a d35 for a c8.25 either. The 8.25 is a far more superior differential than the junk d35. Also hope if you're going to 6" that you'll be installing long arms as well. Short arm 6" suspensions ride horrible and don't perform well.

This, right here, is not good. The slip yoke is damn near bottomed out. I like the Pabst boys but this is a mickey mouse setup in my opinion. Do it right. Get an SYE and throw in a front driveshaft from an automatic 4.0 XJ with a 231.

x2.....theres no shortcuts on a 6 inch lift. Everything has to be done right at thay height or you're asking for trouble
