Hey so recently, my dome lights have been staying on dim. It happened out of the blue and I cannot seem to find the problem. When I open the door, the lights go back to normal brightness as they should, but when I shut them, they go dim, I unplugged all the door, jam switches, and the one in the trunk, but they still are on. The only thing I haven’t tried is the headlight switch, but from the research I’ve done it is very unlikely for that to be the problem. Just want to get some ideas to figure out how to test if there is a short in the ground or if there’s any other ideas on how to fix the problem.. Thanks.

 

I imagine it's either a door switch (possibly the switch on the tail gate latch (that can fail this way) or a short (less likely I think)
