Default Do I need a pitman arm drop with a 3 inch lift?

I'm about to replace the steering gear box on my 2001 jeep XJ which has all stock front suspension except for the 3 inch coils and shocks. While I'm at it I heard I might need a new drop pitman arm with the lift. Is it true?

No, it is not true. You can get one if you like, but it's unnecessary.

All right on the money and do the tie rod upgrade a direct bolt-in and under $100 at AutoZone for their best brand (really made by Moog).
