Default Do i need bumpstops

Just saw a thread on bump stood which reminded me, I was wondering if I need bump stops right now. I have 1998 xj, with a rough country 4.5" lift with their shocks that came with it and it's on 31" tires. I will soon be installing sway bar discos and extended brake lines. But, currently it just has the relocation brackets

I was in the process of replacing my rear bump stops the other day and all the bolts were rusted so bad they all broke off and yess I soaked them in pb blaster for about 2 days before hand but they still broke is it worth drilling and tapping the holes or should I just weld on my new ones? Any suggestions?

Same thing happened to me. That area of my uniframe rail is pretty rusted, I got some 3/16" plate to cut the bumpstop mount section out and weld two nuts to the new piece and weld it in place. That's my plan anyhow. It's too damn cold to worry about bumpstops for now though! Hockey pucks for the front.

If that were my case, I would try drilling them out.
