Default DIY ABS Snorkel Build?

Anyone know of a thread or write up on creating and installing a full snorkel system made from ABS or PVC pipe? I've seen the cowl snorkel, but am looking to route it out the fender and up the driver side A pillar.

Why? It's just heavier and more expensive

Since I have had it it has rubbed up on way to meany trees and rocks to count and I have only had it a few months. If it wasn't out of steel it would have broke. And it catches a lot of branches. I personally think it looks much better then any other homemade one I have seen. And the filter dose not sit out in the open to get caked with mud and water. I don't understand that design at all.
I run 36's with a 5.5" and I did a little wheeling and dealing to keep the cost down. The xj it's self was only 500 it was in a crash. Never meant to build it. Was a vary nice rust free dd but when tires and lift are cheaper then stock tires. Well things grow.

Hey Brutal, For Home made snorkels, I like the look of yours. Can you do a write up on the build of your steel snorkel? Thanks.

Does anyone have a pic of a cowl Snorkel off the Throttle body that uses a skinny cone in the passenger side cowl. I know I have seen before but I can not find. I have ABS and would like to try this setup.
