Gate code? I always figured you'd have a pile of skulls and FRAM filters on pikes out front. And if anybody made it past the Renix Pyre you'd be willing to talk to them.

Brakes:
I've seen drum and disc brakes, drums and discs break, but never drum or disc breaks.

Sure. Are thinking of doing this? If so I have a coupla things to add.
Get the little studs that mount the caliper bracket to the axle from the donor ZJ.
Also get the "guts" from the donor ZJs, brake proportioning valve by removing the 3/4" headed plug on it.

All of these items are included in the Big David kit.

Also if you're running aluminum wheels. I think a couple fell out of the box from Big Dave during shipping so I just bought a whole new set of 10. Not really a big deal though, I'd rather have new studs anyway.

Yep, steel rims aren't as big of an issue.
I remove my studs with a BFH... new ones are mandatory lol

x2. I don't think my stock XJ wheel studs would have worked. Also, the studs that hold the backing plate on itself, a lot of guys will simply get some grade 8 hardware for that instead of new studs. I was able to use the ones included in Big David's kit, but will probably get new hardware when I restore my axle.

Yea it really depends..
low end - source all parts from a JY or donor $100 and a few hours at the JY if its a pick your own.
mid - kit from Big David - $200-400 depending on if you re-use calipers/pads/lines/e-brake etc
high end - kit from QT or Morris $600
Don't forget gear oil since you have to open diff to slide the axles out.
I chose to do axle bearings and seals while I had a chance.
