I acualy just fixed my 4x4 i moved my shiftfork over the the other side of the e clip and locked it in permantly

Idk if this helps but once I found a Jeep in the SY with CV joints instead of steering knuckles and I decided I wanted them. My jeep had the 242 so it didn't have the c clip. I took the 2 stub axles, slid the lock coupling in place, welded it in place, then ground it down to fit in the axle tube. Never had an issue with it
