i go to college with a kid who had a 3" lift and 33's. had to trim the fenders ALOT and get a set of flares. i have a 4.5" lift and you'd need a t-case drop/SYE and extended brake lines

i got 3.75" front, 4" rear with a 93, a 1" t case drop and no vibes....had to do some work with my rear brakes so they wouldnt stretch, but i just fabbed a new mount. i have factory gearing and a manual, and run 31's, on the highway, it makes a big difference compared to before, climbing hills, headwinds, i have to shift down, sometimes to 3rd goin 70, where i didnt before. its not bad YET, but if you go with 33's, i bet you will want gears.....from my experience, 31's are a pretty safe bet for a daily driver. i went with a 4" lift so i would have a little more room with the 31's, as thats all i plan on running. on stock wheels, i put rough country 1.5" spacers, cuz they would rub on my lca's with stock rims. if i was to get a 4.5 inch lift.....i wouldn't do it without getting an sye, driveshaft, extended brake lines, different rims to accomadate the wider tires, and probably gears so it wouldn't feel so gutless, and it would HAVE to be a long arm kit for me....these are actually my plans for the future, once i get a different daily driver lol oh and just in case you were wondering, after going to 31's, i now get 18.3-19.2 mpg, when factoring the extra distance covered by the larger tires. stock, i got 19.4-21.2, and sometimes got 23 or 24 mpg. i havent touched 20 since i put on my 31's. i keep a record of every fill up, miles on the odometer, actual miles covered, and gas mileage with actual miles covered. its completely stock, other than the lift. my avatar is how my jeep sets with the stated set-up

This is My Opinion, as applied to DD Weekend Warrior Rig!!!

Any lift over 2" REQUIRES, Adjustable Trackbar, Adjustable LCA, Uppers are optional, Longer rear brakeline, Complete rebuild of the steering (TREs bushings and Ball Joints), Tow points. Over 3.5" add Control Arm drop or Long Arms, front brake lines and a SYE, and most likely gears.

Reasons, Death Wobble and Comfort and Reliability.

Actualy the the Front end rebuild should be completed before any lift, our Jeep are OLD and these things are worn out on most of them already, lifting will just make it worse..

ya i just had a drop bracket for my trackbar, my control arms arent adjustable, my front brake lines have plenty of flex, and just a transfer case drop, but then again mine only has 80,000 miles, and was taken care of VERY well by the previous owner. i like the way mine rides, its not too rough, but it doesnt feel like a boat either. it rides alot like my 76 f-250 high boy actually. rough country rear packs, pro comp front coils with a 3/4" spacer.
