Quote: Well ive looked at this engine before but I dnt think it didn't get very good mpg compared to the 1.9l

this engine isnt a idi , its a mulit point comon rail system that electronicaly injected. the engine burns pretty clean and even tho is a half liter bigger i bet the LTE actualy is pretty close its also meant to be in a truck. also its a toyota product cant go wrong there right

SO! Whats the MPG from this thing? This might solve my keep 96 avenger or sell it dilemma ive been having. And depending on if i can find it cheap then i wont fix my head gasket.

Got a price range for the engine? I know diesels don't always do good in the cold so is this thing a bear in the cold? Would this be relatively cheap to do?

Just be happy with 15 mpg and save your money... it could be worse, you could be getting 9-10 mpg like me
