1" is fine for the T-case drop. In fact that is good for all the way up to a 4.5" lift. Thats what I got with my 4.5" Rusty's lift.

Did you check your U-joints out. You just have one that is bad. The increased angle caused by the lift will cause abad U-joint to make more noise.

Does it make noise all the time or only when accelerating? I am going to guess you probably have some bad axle wrap going on especially if you have those blocks on some old worn leaf springs.

Watch the driveshaft and axle in this video. Really bad axle wrap going on.

Great Video!
And this is why it is not recommended to use lift blocks.

No kidding...

The axle wrap causes the joint to bind.

You need to describe this a bit better...

Under acceleration? Under hard acceleration? Steady cruising? Constant? What?

And are you lifted 3.5 or 2 inches? You cannot get 3.5in out of a 2in block. Unless you are saying you added a 2in block to a 1.5in lift. I am saying this because at 3.5 in you might need to shim the axle up a bit to get a better pinion angle.

Did the block have a shim built in, pic of pinion needed to help you the most could be over shimed cosing it to get worse with the t case drop
