heims, rockkrawler joints, currie jhonny joints, are all solid choices. as for bushings, its not the bushing itself thats the issue, its the fact that they use them in a design with 3 mounting points on the axle

currie makes a cartridge joint that fits in the upper control arm mount that runs a 7/16" bolt which is a significant upgrade. rock krawler runs 9/16" uca bolts.

any heim with the right misalignment spacer will run 9/16" or 5/8".
Not pointing out flaws but raining down on everyones parade thats happy with the product they recieved even if IRO advertises the amount they flex, flex has a bit to do with offroading and as far as buying any kit that requires modification , majority of lifts require modification and that includes drilling holes for bigger bolts you can use

My XJ came with an Iron Rock 6.5" LA kit on it so I don't know all of what was just the kit and what was extra, it obviously was modified as the passenger arm does have an upper link.

It held up for the PO for 2 years in Colorado and has been doing fine for me the past 7 months.

Some on the trail shots

and some suspension testing

You can see more of the suspension pictures at https://picasaweb.google.com/1016442...ontSuspension#

I've been happy with it.

It took a pretty hard hit last month when my passenger front dropped into a hole I didn't see. Hit hard, passengers wanted to jump out, made them sit still, Jeep behind me is yelling bloody murder "you bent, stop, don't move, wait". The trail leader came back to take a look and says I'm fine, just drive straight out of it. I did so, wheeled the rest of the day and drove home doing 70+ MPH, no issues.

No it doesn't....

The kit comes with an upper link on the drivers arm, the passenger arm is only a lower link.

So I'm planning on installing this http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/Merch...egory_Code=PFX at some point and from reading I apparently have to mod it so it doesn't break...? What do I have to change O.o

You don't need to mod anything, plenty of people are running it without breakage.

Will strengthening the items discussed (bolts and bushings) reduce the chance? Sure, but so would lots of stuff.

Did you know your windshield can break if the Jeep in front of you kicks a rock up into it? Better change it out for a poly one just in case!

This couldn't be closer to the truth.

He's not the only one. Anything better than stock will live up to my standards. IRO Doesn't do that.

I could be wrong as I've never had any interest in IRO but didn't they sell a "4-link" (Even tho it's not a 4 link) at one time? Maybe not. I see that there's not one on their website.

On a side note: (and this shouldn't have anything to do with the 'quality' of thier kit) Geez they have a cheap looking site! I could made that site on a myspace page.

I just don't understand it. I guess when you spend money on something you'll go to the ends of the earth to defend what you cheaped out on...

I hope the kit does well for you. I really do.

I did, but come on. I didn't come on here to bash anything. You "kids" need to relax and respect the OP.

By the way MY kids are nearly the same age as some people on this forum.

I'm not bashing him at all. I'm bashing the kit. It's poorly designed.
