Ive been doing alot of research latley on HID's and have decided to go with DDMTuning's 10,000k kit (thats what I want) and their 200mm housings. But when it comes to the bulb choice there are so many different choices it has me confused as heck. I want to get a hi/lo beam kit also. So if someone could tell me which bulb type is the right one for the XJ it would be much appreciated.

First of all it is important to note that these light housings are meant for H4 hydrogen bulbs, as the website states. Putting an HID setup into these housings may not be legal. Secondly, your wording is a little confusing to me, as you already said that you want the 10 000k bulbs... If you are asking what type of ballast kit to buy, it would probably be best to contact DDM Tuning directly to see what they recommend - or refer to someone more knowledged about ballasts than myself . On a last note, it is never a bad idea to also upgrade your wiring harness with something like this, even though the amp draw of HID's may be less than the H4 or stock headlights. http://www.eautoworks.com/Putco-H4--...s-PRD7540.aspx

I plan on buying the hd harness, im not worried about the housings but on ddmtuning's website it wants u to choose the bulb type 9003 9006 h4 h6 h7 etc, i asume that means the plug on the bulb itself but im not sure I was just wondering which type is needed for a cherokee

Oh okay I see for sure - H4 and 9003 are the same thing, H4 is European spec and 9003 is DOT. Those are the right sized plugs for our Jeeps, to the best of my knowledge. If someone could verify that would be great, but I'm pretty sure about this.

Just make sure to order h4 housings and get the h4 bulbs.

I have the same kit from DDM Tuning and I went with the HI/LOW option and went with the brightest bulb I could get which was the 5K. I love them but they are illegal

Thats good to hear so far I havent heard anything bad about ddm so far like i said hopefully next week ill have the kit here
