well 15 thousandths is .381 mm and 15 hundredths is 3.81 mm

3.81 mm would certainly be too large

well, i got a seal for a late 90s dodge 3/4 ton. it seems to work being the same size as the previous one. but im currently waiting for the rtv to cure on my diff cover. its cold here like 10-30 degress ferenheit so its taking VERY long. im planning on putting 85-145w gear oil with limited slip additive. valvoline. just trying to get the maximum protection i can. and it was only 6.99 a quart. hopefully when i get everything running again it wont leak. i didnt put rtv on the pinion seal like was done previously on my rear end. but ive heard it wasnt necessary. thanks for all of you're help guys.

The best I know... it was converted. I don't think Dana 60s came in the 5 lug variety. But I've never fooled with them either.

its semifloating. the only 5 and 6 lug 60's that came factory were semi. unless it has been converted with aftermarket hubs like what SOLID manufacturing offers or similar.

and more than likely 30 spline if its factory, but could be 35. only way to tell is to pull a shaft and count.

How can I tell of it has been converted? It has drum rears if that helps. Also, let's just say its possible it is full floating. How could I find that out?

not sure why it double posted the pics as attatchments... but. specifically the center of the hub, is there a cylindrical piece sticking out between the wheel studs with bolts in it? or is it just a flage with the wheel studs on it.

well, everythings all set with the rear axle now. she runs great. i used 2qt of 85-140 and the rest of the capacity with 75-90. no leaks thus far and seems to be running well. now to handle all of my steering issues!

thanks so much for the help everyone!

Also, this was on my hubs. And the diff cover had dynatrac tags on it. Does dynatrac have a complete Dana 60 that they make?
