Default D35 swap (think this will work?)

Going to be putting a 8.25 under my cuz rig today. Pulled rear from a 2x4 so drive shaft won't work. I know his d35 may not fit under his with bigger rear. On my jeep I'm at abt 4.5-5 inches of lift. Should I be able to use the longer d35 shaft and give him my 8.25 shaft?

I think his d35 driveshaft will work on his new 8.25.

Since yours is on its wheels, you should be able to measure with a tape measure....

There's about an inch difference in length. My brothers has a swapped in 8.25 and we used his D35 shaft with 3" of lift and it works fine.

If you have a lift will work fine. If not lifted the D35 shaft will be too long and can damage the transfer case

It worked perfet. His has a 3inch lift on 33s. His stock shaft looked perfect.

I just got doing the same swap today. My drive shaft did fit but it is bottomed out on the transfer case shaft I'm at 5" off lift.

Yep
$900 mud slinger ready to go for him now. I gave him the 8.25 out of my donor.

He is one happy 17 year old.
