I recently put 4.10 gears into my 98' Cherokee. and as you all know my highway drivability went down dramatically. would a rubicon 6 speed transmission mount up to my 4.0?

The NSG-370 has a shallow overdrive compared to the AX-15. 0.84:1 vs 0.79:1, so highway RPM will be higher at a given speed.

Or are you talking about removing the gears you just installed and using the 6 speed?

Went 4.10 only? No tires increase?
I went from 3.55 on 29s to 4.10 on 31s and had no highway issues at all.

3.07s to 4.10s and 31s sucked for me. First was useless and I was spinning the motor real fast on the highway.

I have 32's and 3.55's and it's just fine with the ax-15. The 6 speed is not a double overdrive, just a deeper first gear?

So how much suck is it going from 3.07 -4.10 with 31" and a 5 speed? Should I be looking at a different ratio ?

I ran 31's when I first got to 4.10. Then I gave those to my dad and got 33's. a lot happier. I also have the ax-15.

For a stick rig with DD capability still, 4.10s 33s or 3.55s and 31s

thanks guys, ill try the tires first. i have 31's on it as of right now, as for highway speed if reaching 3000 rpm's at 70mph
