contemplating 2.5 inch lift
I just got myself a set of es3000 procomp shocks. for my stock 2000 jeep cherokee. I now realize that these are awesome shocks . But heres my thing. They are not like the ****ty charged shocks i am used to, you know the ones like monroe that come banded an once you pop the band they explode an you cant ever get them on . I was just thinking that they would would bump my ride height back up a bit.
Now i am seeing that the rear leafs are sagging really bad. like almost flat across an the front springs are probably in need of some love too.
I am thinking of the 2.5 lift , add a leaf an new coils an links in the front. From what i have read it is a moderate do it yourself. but its a 50/50 that things could go wrong, like shaking an leading to a slew of pricey changes to accomodate the lift.
Just looking for a bit of advice an possible things i should do along with the lift so i can cut the down time of the project. An since i dont need the shocks. I dont wanna pay 600 for the lift an shocks ill probably never use.
I also just got 2 brand new sway dop links to replae a broken an a about to be broken one. I know both the shocks an i belive the links can accomodate a 2.5 lift with no trouble.
I just want a little more height an want to do it the right way . are maybe shims an spacers a better way to go ? I think i really need the performance of new /added leafs an coils.

If your rear leaf springs are almost flat as you said, don't even consider an add a leaf. You would also end up gaining 2 1/2 inches above where you're at now with an add a leaf, not 2 1/2 inches above stock height.
Black Diamond makes a 2 1/2 inch lift with full rear springs and doesn't come with shocks, so that's perfect for you. Not too pricey either, I think right around $500.
Shims are going to correct driveline angles, for lift you'd want blocks or shackles in the rear and coil spacers up front. Again, you'd be better off going with new leaf springs, but coil spacers are a cheaper option for the front than new coil springs.
